Mansfield, LA

Mansfield, LA, is about 30 miles south of Shreveport, LA.  It is a small town in north-western Louisiana, that was the site of heavy fighting during the American War Between the States (Civil  War).

Location

Rich in tradition, Mansfield, Louisiana is the parish seat of De Soto Parish and is located 35 miles south of Shreveport on U.S. Highways 171 and 84. It is 292 miles northwest of New Orleans and 279 miles northeast of Houston,
Texas.

The annual rainfall totals around 43 inches.  Keep in mind that with a summer average of 84 degrees it is usually about 100 or 110 degrees during the heat of the day, while cooling down in the upper 50's at night.  This also makes Mansfield a very foggy place due to all the relative humidity.
